We have had the most fabulous weather the last two days!! I just cannot wait for it to stick around for good. We are expecting highs in the 40’s this weekend…yuck!
Even though we are going to have a few colder days, I couldn’t help myself from planting a few flowers outside. They will have to be brought in at night, but I can deal with that.
I wanted to do something new and fun on my porch. I decided to combine my love of numbers and burlap to create some pots that display my house numbers.
These were super easy to make, cheap, and I love the graphic detail that they add to the porch.
Here’s what you need to get it done:
1. I used terra cotta planters ($2.98/ea.)
2. burlap (which I already had on hand…usually only a couple bucks a yard. I probably used about 1 1/2 yards)
3. hot glue gun
4. paint and number stencils
I cut a square of burlap and then hot glued the edges into the inside lip of the terra cotta planter. It doesn’t look the prettiest inside, but I knew that it would be covered by dirt anyway.
Then, I stenciled the number onto the front…easy peasy!!
Here is before the flowers were added…
And the after…
Bring on Summer…I am ready!
I may not make it all of these parties each week, but I sure do love them all! Check them out and let them know I sent you!

ReplyDeleteOh wow, these are super cute. We could definitely use these because our house numbers are only at a sign by the road, not on the house. It would be nice to have these. Thanks for sharing at our party this week.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, these are super cute! My only reco is to bring them in when it rains ... a friend who used a glue gun to create a waterfall water feature with flower pots learned that water is the glue gun's kryptonite ...
